Software for Healthcare Groups and Hospitals
Built around your clinical systems, not over them
Hospitals and healthcare groups rarely need another system of record. They already have one, it holds the clinical data, and replacing it is neither wise nor necessary.
What is usually missing sits around it: the patient trying to book, the appointment that nobody confirmed, the follow-up that was due in six months and never happened, and the report the operations head cannot get out of the system that holds it.
What breaks here
Appointments across several locations
A patient calls the group number, wants the consultant who sits at one branch on Tuesdays and another on Fridays, and the person answering has to work it out by phoning around. Every additional location multiplies this rather than adding to it.
Published availability stops being true immediately
A schedule goes up on Monday. A surgery overruns, a consultant takes leave, an OPD is rescheduled — and the published version carries on being wrong until someone notices. Patients turn up for sessions that are not happening.
The enquiry that did not become an appointment leaves no trace
Someone called, asked about a procedure, was told a price and did not book. That conversation is invisible, so nobody can tell whether it was the price, the wait, or that the call was never returned.
Recall does not happen
The patient who should be seen again in six months, the diabetic due for review, the annual health check — all known, all scheduled by nobody. Recall is the most predictable revenue in a healthcare business and the most consistently neglected.
Reminders go out on channels patients do not read
A text message among forty others, sent the evening before. Then the slot is empty and nobody can say whether the patient forgot or never saw it.
The data is in there and nobody can get it out
The hospital system holds everything and reports on some of it, in a format designed for a different question. So the operations team maintains a parallel spreadsheet, and within a year there are two versions of the truth.
What we build for it
- Appointment and enquiry flows that work across every location, with the booking rules in one place
- Availability that reflects reality — schedules that can be changed by the people who actually know, and that update everywhere they are shown
- Reminders, confirmations and recall on channels patients read, with enough lead time to refill a cancelled slot
- Enquiry tracking before an appointment exists, so you can see what was asked and what became of it
- Reporting layers built on top of your hospital system, answering the questions your operations team actually asks
- Patient-facing access to appointments, reports and records, where you want to offer it
- Integration that leaves your clinical system of record exactly where it is
What this means for your project
We build around clinical systems, not over them. Anything touching patient records stays in the system designed to hold it. We work on the layer in front — booking, communication, enquiry and reporting — which is where most of the avoidable losses actually are.
We will ask who can see what, early. Access control in a healthcare build is a design decision, not a setting applied at the end. Receptionists, consultants, branch managers and group management need genuinely different views, and retrofitting that is expensive.
We will not claim certifications we do not hold. If your procurement requires a specific standard or audit, tell us at the start and we will tell you plainly whether we meet it, rather than discovering it in a security review.
If the narrower problem is appointment enquiries and reminders arriving on WhatsApp, we have written about that separately: WhatsApp for healthcare.
